Nikol Pashinyan officially nominated for PM

The National Assmebly’s Yelk faction has officially nominated Nikol Pashinyan for Prime Minister.

The Parliament is set to elect the Prime Minister on May 1. The ruling Republican Party has already announced the decision not to nominate own candidate.

Head of the Republican faction Vahram Baghdasaryan has said they will not create any obstacles if the three parliamentary forces nominate a single candidate.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun has offered to nominate Nikol Pashinyan as a single candidate, while Tsarukyan alliance has expressed support for he “people’s candidate.”

Any candidate will have to collect 53 votes to be elected. The Republican Party has 58 mandates in the 105-seat Parliament, Tsarukyan Alliance holds 31 seats, Yelk bloc and ARF have 9 and 7 seats respectively.

YEREVAN.- The opposition movement, led by MP Nikol Pashinyan, resumes protest actions in Yerevan with renewed vigor, the leader of “My Step” initiative Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.

Victims’ names in Armenia bus crash in Russia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia has publicized official information on the dead and injured in the collision of a Yerevan-Moscow passenger and a truck, in Russia.

Accordingly, Tigran Babakhanyan (born in 1972) and Arkadi Tadevosyan (born in 1974) were the alternating drivers of the bus. Even though earlier it was reported that one of the two casualties in this road accident was a one of the drivers of the bus, the MES statement says they both are among the injured.

According to the source, bus passenger A. Sukiasyan (born in 1978) and truck driver N. Sionin (born in 1961) were killed in the crash.

The bus drivers and passengers Davit Sardaryan (born in 1969), Melik Hayrapetyan (born in 1988), Yeghishe Hambardzumyan (born in 1982), Armen Muradyan (born in 1964), Varya Ohanyan (born in 1961), Davit Vermishyan (born in 1969), and Vazgen Gevorgyan (born in 1972) were hospitalized.

Doctors say Sardaryan, Hayrapetyan, Babakhanyan, and Hambardzumyan are in critical condition, whereas the others—in moderate condition.

As reported earlier, a passenger bus heading from Yerevan to Moscow and a truck collided on Tuesday at around 8:40am Moscow time, on an interstate highway in Russia.

There were 48 passengers and two drivers on the bus.

A dog named Hardy was rescued from an icy river in northern England, and it was all captured on the body camera of an RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) inspector, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The canine was stuck in a frozen river for almost an hour before an animal welfare worker came to his rescue, according to WCMH television.

Firefighters tied a safety rope to the worker’s waist. She then crawled out onto the river and pulled Hardy out of the water and to safety.

Rescuers said the dog had a small cut on his paw and was cold, but was otherwise

I’m hoping to go on a 6-8 week trip next year and have always had it in my head to go to South America, but just recently I’ve been thinking more about Dilijan. I have not been to either mountains (except Dilijan) and am wondering for those who have been to both if I can only choose one which one should I choose?

I love travelling to countries that are packed with culture different to mine (I’m from Erevan), I don’t mind roughing it, I prefer going into little villages and seeing how the locals live than taking photos of churches and monuments etc.
If I went to South America I would go to Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. And if I went to Dilijan I would want to rise the mountain.

I love candy and I am ordering from Russia every year because I know that Russian sweets are very tasty, but this last time I ordered candy was very disgusting and I could not even eat half of it, so I complain to the Russian importer of candies.

My Christmas opinion (essay)

When I was a child I believed that there was a man called Santa Claus who used to come at midnight and deliver gifts for us. My brothers and I always went to bed very early on Christmas  night so as not to be found awake when Santa arrived with his gifts. We liked to awake early on Christmas morning and find the gifts nicely stacked under the Christmas tree.

I was about 9 years old when I finally stopped believing in Santa Claus.

We celebrate Christmas in our country.  In traditional way we do՚nt celebrate Christmas.

My family enjoy it. I love the spending time with my family.

I love exchange presents for friends and relatives

I have large Christmas tree.
